Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Llama (wanderllama.app, operated by Jacob Ruiz) collects, why, and who it's shared with. We collect as little as we need to run the app.
What we collect
- Trip requests and itineraries. The text you type to plan a trip, and the itinerary generated for it. Custom trips are stored for 30 days and can be opened by anyone who has the trip's link.
- Account details (if you sign in): your name, email address and profile picture from your sign-in method (Google or email), managed by Clerk.
- Billing details (if you subscribe): Stripe processes your payment. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and subscription status, not your card number.
- Usage and technical data: an anonymous session ID, how many custom trips you've created today, your IP address (to prevent abuse), and a short-lived log of recent activity shown in the X-ray panel (kept for up to 2 days).
Cookies and local storage
- llama_sid: an anonymous session cookie that lets Llama work without an account (30 days).
- Clerk cookies: keep you signed in.
- Session storage: remembers which X-ray events you've already seen.
We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use it
- to generate and show your itineraries;
- to provide your account and Llama Pro subscription;
- to enforce usage limits and prevent abuse;
- to answer your support requests.
We don't sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use these providers to run Llama. They process data on our behalf:
- Vercel: hosting, and routing AI requests (AI Gateway).
- Anthropic: the AI model that writes itineraries; receives your trip request text.
- Clerk: sign-in and account management.
- Stripe: payments and subscription billing.
- Upstash: database for trips, sessions and subscription status.
- OpenFreeMap: map tiles; your browser requests them directly, which shares your IP address.
How long we keep it
Custom trips: 30 days. X-ray activity: up to 2 days. Account and subscription records: while your account is active, and afterwards as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to delete your account, by emailing jacobruizdev@gmail.com. Some billing records may need to be kept for legal reasons.
Children
Llama isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
